This is the first cruise my husband and I have ever been on, and would recommend it to anyone! The trip was for my 40th birthday and I cannot fault anything. The ship is beautifully designed with a contemporary feel. The ship was extremely clean, and all staff were excellent. Our stateroom attendent was lovely (he made a dog from our towesl one night because we told him we had dogs!), the waiters and somellier in the Grande Cuvee were fantastic - A good balance of friendly and chatty but still efficient. The entertainmnet director and his programme of entertainmnet was very well thought through and balanced. The selection of food in all areas was incredible, and always manned/served by helpful and friendly staff. The only negative comment I have is about the other travellers. We saw a lot of people who refused to sanitise hands at entrances to areas, even ignoring staff posted with sanitisers. Sanitising of hands is in place for a reason, if people cannot adhere to these rules, they should not be allowed in. Latly, despite there being a dress code in place, we observed people dining in Grand Cuvee restraunt with tracksuit bottoms on! Come on people, put some effort in!

I have not bothered with writing reviews on holidays or cruises before, but having just returned from a 12 night cruise on the Silouette, booked through cruise club (Chris Davison)I am writing to say that the whole booking process and arranged flights and transfers were excellent.
Now as for the cruise itself, the ship exceeds expectations in terms of quailty of furnishings, fittings etc, the bars and public areas and pools fantastic,the service matches the ship and is first class. Live music inside and around in the common areas on the ship is provided by resident band Sipra and another solo male artist who is excellent, it seems that there is nearly non stop backround music constantly, albeit there are many areas of peace and quiet for those that like it.
Food in all restuarants was top class, but we didn't use the speciality restaurants, the service from our waiter Lesme and his assistant John was the best we have ever had, informative, humerous and attention to detail.
If we have one slight critiscism, its a personal thing, we do not use the restaurants and Lawn Club cabana facilities which you pay a hefty fee to use if you wish, and these areas are therefore not of much use to the vast majority of guests on board, the last little complaint is that the sky lounge is not used to its full potential and is not attracting guests up to use what is a lovely bar and dance floor.

“Transportation”

The ship was brilliant and the crew excellent. The dining facilities could not be faulted. However, on arrival at Rome (FCO), the transport arrangements were a complete and utter shambles. All of those of us that booked the cruise through yourselves had to walk a very long way behind a Rep!! that had no idea of where the transport was or the destination we were supposed to go. This I believe is CUBE. It is a totally shambolic company. I have worked for B.A. as crew for 20 years and have been training public service personel for an equal period of time and I would have sacked everyone of the CUBE personnel on the spot.
We eventually arrived at the port to be told that we would have to get of the coach and drag our bags nearly a 1/2 mile to the ship !! This was after arriving almost at the ship side 20 minutes before. The driver had no idea of what ship he was supposed to deliver us to and we even had 2 people that were not even your customers on board the coach. They were with Holland America.
To say there was almost a mutiny on the coach is an understatement !!!
Needles to say, it was a terrible start to a very expensive holiday...........never to be done again. In future I would book directly with the cruise line because on arrival at Rome, all the Celebrity staff more or less ignored us and directed us to anywhere outside the Terminal. I am sure you will receive similar comments from our fellow passengers. It is a problem that you should very quickly address.
