“An Epic time !”
Mrs Julie Taylor visited on 06/10 and recommended this ship
Norwegian Epic was launched in June 2010. This is NCL's newest & largest cruise ship, with a large array of entertainment, dining & family venue's on board.
You can literally dine 'around the world' there were themed restaurants, my favourite being the Argentian one named 'Churrascaria'. Ive never known a cruise ship with so many restaurants on board .. there are many lounges & bars including an 'Ice Bar', Comedy Club which was good fun with audience participation, Bliss Lounge with a bowling alley was also a favourite. The casino on board was one of the largest Ive seen ... Sports enthusiasts will love outdoor facitlies with climbing walls, water slides ( one of the largest at sea Ive seen ) swimming pools, hot tubs, basket ball court & even a 'beach club' which converts into an open-air night club in the evenings.
I stayed in a 'new wave' balcony stateroom on deck 9, which were modern & contemporary in design. The bathroom facilities had a seperate wc & shower unit with a frosted glass door, the vanity unit being in the main cabin area, although there was a drape you could pull across for privacy from the main cabin. This layout may not suit all guests though. I was lucky enough to view most of the stateroom types including the suites/villas & was most impressed with the Spa Suite's which gave you exclusive access to the Spa....great for relaxing. A great idea from NCL was the single inside studio's for our solo travellers, which also had an exclusive solo's lounge where you could meet up & have a drink with your fellow single guests.
Overall this a fabulous ship with the most fantastic facilities on board & will suit families / couples & singles alike.
